Marshall Fitness Center

Work out your cardiovascular system, increase your strength with weights or join a group exercise class in our safe, well-ventilated fitness areas. Marshall Community Center offers a fully equipped fitness facility with Nautilus, Precor and SCIFIT machines along with TRX, Jacobs Ladder and Marpo Rope Trainer.

Fitness Center Age Requirements

  • Ages 14+ may use the fitness center, weight room equipment and take clases on their own.
  • Children ages 13 and under may not be in any area of the fitness center unsupervised, even if they are waiting for a parent or guardian.
  • Marshall membership cards for ages 14-17 will be marked using a unique hole punch to indicate their age to staff.
  • Appropriate attire must be worn.

Group Exercise Classes

Classes are available for all activity and experience levels, from gentle chair exercises to high-intensity cardio and strength training. Group exercise classes are free for Marshall members, visitors are required to pay the daily drop-in fee.

Group Exercise Policies:

  • Please be on time to class. No entry five minutes after class starts for safety and disruption concerns.
  • Check in at the fitness desk before entering the aerobics/dance studio for class.
  • Appropriate clothing and shoes must be worn at all times (unless told otherwise by an instructor). We recommend shoes that have not been worn outdoors.
  • No perfume, cologne or other strong smelling scents.
  • Wipe off your equipment after use with a sanitizing solution and a paper towel.
  • Let your instructor know if you are just beginning an exercise program OR if you have any injuries or medical conditions that may impact your ability to participate fully.
  • Hand held weights or ankle/wrist weights are NOT allowed during the warm up or cardiovascular portion of a group exercise class.
  • No rubberized suits.
  • No more than two risers per side of a step bench.

Senior Fitness

Marshall offers SilverSneakers® and Silver&Fit® memberships which include SilverSneakers® and Silver&Fit® classes and access to all non-fee-based amenities at the community center. The SilverSneakers® and Silver&Fit® Fitness Programs are offered in partnership with select health plans at no additional cost for Medicare-eligible members.

Personal Training

Get active and stay motivated with help from certified personal trainers at Marshall Community Center. Benefits of working with a personal trainer include:

Personal Training appointments start on time and expire one year from date of purchase. Sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable. You must cancel any Personal Training appointment at least 24 hours in advance or you will lose credit for that session. Cost is shown as Vancouver resident/non-resident.

Getting Started

New Client Session + Assessment
Meet with a trainer to create your custom workout plan.

Body Composition Test
Find out your body fat and muscle percentages. Includes a printed report.

Fitness Assessment
Track your health with tests for blood pressure, heart rate, body fat, endurance, strength, and flexibility. Includes a printed report.

30-Minute Packages
Short on time? These focused workouts fit busy schedules. A new client session required before starting 30-minutes packages.
Cost: $216/$270 for six 30-minute sessions

One-on-One Training
Work directly with a trainer to build and stick to your plan.

  • 1 hour: $65/$81
  • 5 hours: $285/$356
  • 10 hours: $500/$625

Group Training (1-Hour Sessions)
Train with friends and save! A new client session required before starting group training.

  • 4 people: $24.50/$31 each
  • 2 people: $38/$46 each
  • 3 people: $29/$33 each

Fitness and Recreation

Dance classes, rock climbing, aquatic fitness classes, sports leagues and senior hikes are all available through Vancouver recreation programs.
