Vancouver Police Arrest Wanted Subject with Multiple Warrants.
October 15, 2025
On October 14, just before 12:30 p.m., Vancouver Police Department (VPD) officers responded to a report of a wanted subject in the area of NE 88th St and 55th Ave. Officers identified the subject, who had multiple active felony warrants across several states, in a vehicle in the area.
Preemptive use of a Grappler device was authorized due to the danger the suspect posed to the public if the vehicle fled. Officers successfully deployed the device, disabling the vehicle and safely bringing it to a stop. The suspect fled on foot but was located by a VPD K9 team and patrol officers in a nearby wooded area where he was taken into custody without further incident. Following his arrest, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and suspect, and located a firearm and controlled substances.
As a precaution, Seton Catholic High School was placed on lockdown during the incident. The lockdown was lifted after the suspect was taken into custody.
This response reflects the coordinated and strategic efforts of VPD officers and our law enforcement partners. The quick containment, tactical decision-making, and successful apprehension underscore our ongoing commitment to our community’s safety.
