Park Restrooms
Restrooms are available at select parks to help make visits more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. Restrooms are open daily from April through October during regular park hours. Because staff travel between sites to open, clean, and close restrooms, public access may begin up to an hour after parks open and end up to an hour before closing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why don’t all parks have restrooms?
Restrooms are expensive to build, clean, and maintain year-round. They require ongoing service to keep them safe and accessible.
Our restrooms are primarily located in community parks, which serve a broader area and attract visitors with their larger spaces and special amenities. Community parks already have parking, utilities, and other facilities that support restrooms. Neighborhood parks are smaller, close-to-home spaces meant for shorter visits, so most do not include restrooms.
By focusing restroom facilities at larger community parks, we can make the best use of public funds while keeping these essential amenities clean, safe and available where they’re needed most.
How often are restrooms cleaned?
Each restroom is serviced once a day while open to keep facilities clean and ready for visitors.
To let us know about a park restroom that needs attention, call 360-487-8177 or fill out the Public Works request form for Grounds service.
Why do restroom hours change seasonally?
Hours are reduced at park restrooms to align with shifts in service demand. This helps save on maintenance and cleaning costs and allows operations staff to focus on seasonal service needs.
