Community Center Membership
Starting January 2026, we are streamlining our community center memberships into one simplified option that includes access to both Firstenburg and Marshall community centers.
Members will be able to choose the activities and amenities that fit their interests, needs and schedule, no matter which part of the city they’re in. Having access to both centers gives you more variety, flexibility and convenience, whether you want to work out near home, stop by for a class close to work, or explore new programs across the city.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the benefits to having access to both community centers?
Marshall and Firstenburg each offer unique activities, amenities and experiences. With access to both, members can choose what best fits their interests, needs, and schedule, no matter which part of the city they’re in.
For example, both centers feature state-of-the-art aquatics facilities, but each offers something distinct: Marshall’s 25-yard lap pool and deeper water area support lap swimming and fitness training, while Firstenburg’s water play area and lazy river provide fun, family-friendly options.
Having access to both centers gives you more variety, flexibility, and convenience, whether you want to work out near home, stop by for a class close to work, or explore new programs across the city.
Can I participate in programs and classes at both centers?
Yes! Your Vancouver Community Center Membership gives you full access to programs and classes at both locations. You can plan your participation around what interests you most and what fits your schedule.
Each center offers a variety of classes on different schedules, so you can mix and match based on your goals. For instance, you might take a morning yoga class at Firstenburg and an evening water fitness class at Marshall. With two conveniently located centers, it’s easier than ever to stay active and connected wherever it works best for you.
Do I need to do anything to get my Vancouver Community Center Membership if I am already a member at Firstenburg or Marshall?
No. When your membership renews in January, it will automatically be upgraded to provide you access to both community centers.
Can I opt out of the Vancouver Community Center Membership and keep my single-center membership?
No. Single-center memberships will no longer be available for purchase in 2026. All memberships will include access to both community centers at the same rate.
It’s fine if you prefer to use one center most of the time. You’ll still enjoy the same great experience and always have the option to visit the other center when it’s more convenient or when there is a class or amenity that interests you.
Can I still drop-in if I do not want a membership?
Yes! You can still pay a drop-in fee for a single-day pass. Drop-in rates will stay the same at both centers and will not be impacted by this change. Your drop-in fee is not all-access and is only good to use at the center where it is purchased.
Will this impact my Youth Opportunity Pass or Silver/Insurance-based membership?
No. Youth Opportunity Passes and Silver insurance-based memberships already provide access to both community centers and will remain the same.
Are family memberships still available?
Yes! Family memberships are still available. Starting in 2026, there will be more options to fit families of different sizes, with separate pricing for families of up to 6 members.
Can I get a membership if I am not a City resident?
Yes! If you live outside of Vancouver city limits, non-resident memberships are available to purchase at a slightly higher rate.
Can I let someone else use my membership?
No. Memberships are non-transferable.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. You can cancel your membership at any time. Just submit your cancellation request or cancel at the Firstenburg or Marshall front desk by the 24th of the month before you want it to end to avoid being charged for the next month.
