Request for Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO)

Please review the Temporary Certificate of Occupancy Requirements

Minimum 10 day advance submittal required

  1. Submit TCO Applications – Minimum of 10 days in advance of TCO target date by using the form below.
  2. Close out Applications Associated with your CMI Application:
    • Fire Alarm Permit (FRI)
    • Fire Sprinkler Permit (FRI)
    • Fire Underground Permit (FRI)
    • Electrical Permit (MPE)
    • Site Development Permit (SDP)
  3. Submit Application Condition Requirements to your Plans Examiner – (Conditions are listed on your permit.) All Conditions should show as “MET” prior to TCO approval – such as, but not limited to:
    • Building Envelope
    • Final Summary Letters – (i.e. Structural Observation, Special Inspections, Geo-technical)
    • Blower Door Test Report
    • Engineering Condition – Must meet minimum TCO requirements. If questions please contact your Engineering Tech for details or call 360-487-7804.
    • Construction Services – Must meet minimum TCO requirements. If questions please contact Lisa Petersen at: 360-487-7780.
  4. Schedule Inspections: Rough inspection approvals, including but not limited to: Erosion Control, ADA Internal, ADA Parking/Access/Ramps, Emergency Lighting, Landscaping, Radon Mitigation, Rough Wiring, Rough Plumbing, Rough HVAC, Sewer Service, Site Trees, Water Service, Grease Trap/Interceptor etc. Final inspection approvals, as applicable:
    • Final Electrical
    • Final Erosion
    • Final Fire
    • Final HVAC
    • Final Plumbing
    • Final Roofing
    • Final Zoning
    • Final Grease Trap Interceptor
