City Manager update: June 2026

Honoring Pride Month
Pride Month is a time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in Vancouver. It’s also a reminder that everyone should feel welcome, safe, and respected in our city. Belonging does not happen on its own. It grows when we work together, remove barriers, and design our services and spaces so that all community members can take part.
After several years of focusing on the City’s internal work environment, we have started a major effort called Vancouver for All. The goal of Vancouver for All for our community is simple: to ensure every person in Vancouver can participate, succeed, and feel they belong. A key part of this work is listening to residents. Through surveys, focus groups, and our community forums, we’ll continue to learn about the obstacles people face in their daily lives. These conversations will help us understand the varied needs across our community and shape the direction of Vancouver for All. We are committed to creating a Vancouver where everyone thrives, and our programs, services, and public spaces help make that possible.
As we mark Pride Month, I want to recognize that LGBTQ+ residents are an important part of our community, and that barriers in housing, health, safety, and daily life still exist for many. Acknowledging these challenges reminds us why showing up for one another matters, especially during moments of connection and celebration. I want to encourage you to take part in the events happening across the community this month and to celebrate the diversity that strengthens Vancouver.
