Firstenburg Community Center is available to host your next event in East Vancouver. The building is ADA accessible and has access to a free parking lot for your guests.

Community Room – Weddings, Quinceañeras and Large Events

Firstenburg’s Community Room is the perfect place to host your next special event at a great price. With a commercial kitchen, adjacent outdoor terrace, fir paneling and wood floors, the Community Room offers a distinct northwest feel with plenty of room for your guests to feel comfortable during your event. The Community Room typically books out 5 to 6 months in advance, please plan accordingly.

Available on Saturdays (6 hour minimum); 200 maximum capacity

  • $160/hour for city residents/non-profits
  • $184/hour for non-residents
  • $500 refundable damage/cleaning deposit required for Community Room rentals

Birthday Parties – Pool and Party Room

Looking for a special place to celebrate your child’s birthday? Host a swim party at Firstenburg Community Center!

  • 12 swim wristbands during a 1-hour public swim session at the Firstenburg Pool.
  • Extra swim bands can be purchased at the drop-in rate.
  • Includes private birthday room that can seat up to 10 people, with a maximum capacity of 18 people.
  • Larger rooms are available for an additional fee.
  • Children 6 and younger must have an adult in the pool with them at all times (within arm’s reach).
  • Swim diapers and plastic pants are required for all children 3 and under and non-toilet trained children.

Swim parties are offered on Saturdays, with a set schedule of timeslots available:

  • Option A
    • Party Room: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    • Swim: 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.
  • Option B
    • Party Room: 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Swim: 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
  • Option C
    • Party Room 12:45 to 3:15 p.m.
    • Swim 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Option D
    • Party Room 2:15 to 4:45 p.m.
    • Swim 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

If the party room is not large enough to accommodate your guests, alternate rooms are available for an additional fee. All rates listed are for 2.5 hours total.

  • Special Event Room
    • Seats up to 10, 18 maximum capacity
    • $170 for city residents and non-profits; $195 for non-residents
  • Public Conference Room
    • Seats up to 18, 25 maximum capacity
    • $190 for city residents and non-profits; $195 for non-residents
    • $50 refundable deposit required
  • Resource Classroom/Zone
    • Seats up to 20, 35 maximum capacity
    • $220 for city residents and non-profits; $253 for non-residents
    • $50 refundable deposit required

Graduation Parties – Full Center Use

Is your school looking for an affordable and easy to coordinate venue for your All-Night Graduation Party? Firstenburg Community Center hosts amazing parties every year and makes the planning easy on you! Graduation parties can entertain up to 500 students and offer an affordable, safe and memorable way to celebrate.

Do you need to be a Firstenburg member to book a party or event?

No. Anyone can book a party or event at Firstenburg Community Center.

How do I know if I qualify for city resident pricing?

What do I need to bring?

Please bring all decorations, plates, cups, utensils, cake, food, drinks, etc.

Can I watch my children swim?

We do not allow spectators on our pool deck due to health reasons. Street clothes and/or shoes are also not allowed on the pool deck (you must be in appropriate swim attire). If you would like to take a photo of your birthday group swimming, please notify a lifeguard of your request. Limit the amount of time taking photos in the pool to five minutes. Food and drinks are not allowed on the pool deck.

What if I need to cancel?

Payment is due in full at the time of booking. Cancelations must be made 10 business days in advance. A 25% cancelation fee will be withheld.

Does the City of Vancouver offer other rental spaces to host events?

Rental spaces are available at both community centers, the Water Resources Education Center and at park picnic shelters.
