Each year Nez Perce tribal members travel to important historical sites to conduct memorials. This event honors Chief Redheart’s band, who were imprisoned for eight months without cause at Fort Vancouver in 1877-78.  This event is free and open to the public. This event is hosted by the Nez Perce Tribe with support from Community Military Appreciation Committee, The Historic Trust, National Park Services and the City of Vancouver.  Fort Vancouver National Historic Site
