This week, as a part of the Vancouver Arts and Music Festival, join us for a showing of the original 1940 film, Fantasia (G). “Fantasia (1940) is a groundbreaking animated anthology film that pairs classical music with vibrant and colorful animation. Hosted by Deems Taylor and featuring Leopold Stokowski conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra, it contains eight distinct segments exploring various musical styles, ranging from pure abstraction to dynamic, story-driven narratives.”
