Recreation camps invite participants to play, explore and build friendships. Day camps also provide critical childcare to support working families.
School Break Camps
Skyhawks Multi-Sport Spring Break Camps
Fisher Basin Community Park (601 NE 192nd Ave.)
Ages 6-12 | $179 for 9 a.m. to noon camp, $299 for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. camp | April 6-10
Multi-Sport programs introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. Athletes will learn the rules and essential skills of each sport, along with vital life lessons such as sportsmanship, inclusion and teamwork. Enjoy the benefits of exploring multiple sports while building lifelong skills with Skyhawks!
Summer Camps
Registration for summer camps opens April 15 for Vancouver residents and April 16 for everyone else. If you are interested in a camp that is already full, you may join a wait list to be notified if space becomes available.
General Camp Information
- Refund requests must be made 4 weeks prior to the start of each week of camp.
- All camp waitlists will be cleared on July 6. You can choose to go back on any camp waitlist starting July 7.
- Registrations are first come, first served. No age exceptions will be given.
- Registration deadline is 9 a.m. on Thursday the week prior to the start of camp.
- After registering you will receive an email from ePACT to fill out your child’s participant information form. This form must be completed before attending camp. We partner with ePACT Network to provide an efficient and secure way to manage participant information.
- Youth Day Camps:
- Unless otherwise noted, parents may drop-off as early as 8 a.m. and pick-up by 4:30 p.m. Structured activities are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Aftercare is available at Marshall Camp from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for an additional fee. Campers must be enrolled in the corresponding week of camp to attend aftercare.
- All youth day camps walk up to 1.5 miles to local parks.
- Bring lunch, snack, water bottle, backpack, towel and swimsuit unless otherwise stated.
Recreation Scholarship
The Everybody Plays! scholarship covers 50% of tuition costs for all eligible and participating children and adults with disabilities within the qualifying household. If you are eligible, your household will automatically receive the scholarship benefit when registering for recreation programs. Your primary address must be within Vancouver city limits to qualify. Once the scholarship is awarded, you will not have to reapply during the calendar year.
Payment Plan Overview
- Payment plans are available to make summer camps more affordable and accessible for families.
- The payment plan option must be selected at the time of registration.
- An initial 15% payment is due at the time of registration.
- A credit card must be saved to your account, it will be charged each Friday, beginning May 8.
- Final payment is due 2 weeks before the start date of each week of camp.

- If a scheduled payment declines, you will be contacted to make the missed payment and update your credit card information for future payments. Payment Plan FAQ
What programs qualify for the payment plan option?
- Marshall Youth Day Camp, Fircrest Youth Day Camp and Access to Recreation Camp.
Do I have to put all the weeks I’m registering for on a payment plan?
- No, you can choose which weeks to put on a payment plan and pay in full for the remaining weeks.
If I’m registering less than 2 weeks before the start of camp, can I still use the payment plan option?
- No, payment would be due in full at the time of registration.
Can I use a payment plan if I’m registering off a waitlist?
- Yes, if you are registering more than 2 weeks before the start of camp.
Can a scholarship be used with a payment plan?
- Yes, you will be charged at 50% of the fee for initial payment and remaining payments.
Do I have to make a down payment?
- Yes, 15% of the fee for each week of camp is due at the time of registration.
Do I have to save my credit card information to my account?
- Yes, a credit card must be saved to your account for the scheduled weekly payments to be charged correctly.
How do I update my payment information?
- You can update payment information in-person, or by calling Firstenburg (360-487-7001) or Marshall (360-487-7100) community centers, or online through your ActiveNet account
Can I make payments outside of the scheduled payment dates or pay off the balance early?
- Yes, you can make payments in-person, by phone or online in your ActiveNet account.
Can I withdraw from a single or multiple weeks of camp when using a payment plan?
- Yes, you can do so by calling or visiting Firstenburg or Marshall community centers. A $5 processing fee for each week of camp withdrawn will be deducted from the total refunded. Withdrawals must be requested 4 weeks prior to the start of day camps.
What if my scheduled payment declines?
- If your scheduled payment declines, you will be contacted and have 3 days to make the payment and update your credit card information. If you do not do so within 3 days, you will be withdrawn from each week of camp that the payment failed for and refunded any payments to date, minus the $5 processing fee per week.
Youth Day Camp – Ages 6-10
Every day is a new opportunity to spark curiosity! Each week campers participate in action packed adventures including sports, outdoor games, crafts, swimming, water activities and visits from special guests. Activities are centered on weekly themes. Aftercare is available at the Marshall camp for an additional fee.
Marshall Center Day Camp (1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd.)
Camp Cost per Session: $220 Vancouver resident/$275 Non-resident
Aftercare Cost per Session: $53 Vancouver Resident/$67 Non-resident
Drop-off opens at 8 a.m. There are structured activities from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with pick-up by 4:30 p.m. There is a 1:8 staff-to-child ratio and campers may walk up to 1.5-miles during daily activities.
Due to 2024-26 budget reductions, day camps will not go on field trips that require bus transportation this year. In addition to swimming at the community center, Marshall campers will walk to the park, the library and occasionally the movie theater.
Aftercare is available from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for an additional fee. To attend aftercare, campers must be enrolled in the corresponding week of camp. Activities include coloring, board games, Lego, large games (Jenga, checkers, Connect Four) and playground time. Staff ratios at Aftercare are 1:15.

Kids Climb Camp at Firstenburg (700 NE 136th Ave.)
Camp Cost per Session: $190 Vancouver resident/$238 Non-resident
Camp meets 9 a.m. to noon. Campers will spend the week climbing, playing games and participating in activities that encourage teamwork, leadership and healthy, active fun while developing new skills.
This camp is offered for three sessions, payment plan option does not apply.

Access to Recreation Camp – Ages 13+
Access to Recreation (ATR) camp is for people with cognitive and developmental disabilities. This camp is focused on summer fun and building social connections. Campers play games, stay active, make crafts, participate in water play, watch movies and much more.
ATR Camp at Truman Elementary (4505 NE 42nd Ave.)
Cost per Session: $278 Vancouver resident/$333 Non-resident.
Camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Campers will be divided into groups of 10 with 2 staff for indoor activities. The groups will combine for larger outdoor activities. In addition to daily activities, camp will also feature special guest visitors including clowns, balloon artists and the snow cone truck!

Summer Playgrounds Camp – Ages 6-11
The Summer Playgrounds program offers free lunch and supervised day camp activities for children ages 6-11 at convenient neighborhood sites throughout the summer. Summer Playgrounds is open to families who live in certain school boundaries, where access to the program will have the greatest community benefit.
Crestline Summer Playgrounds (13003 SE 7th St.)
Crestline Summer Playgrounds is open to children who live in Vancouver city limits and are within the Crestline Elementary School boundary. There is no cost to attend Summer Playgrounds, but advanced weekly registration is required.
Summer Playgrounds camps run Monday-Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Enjoy supervised games, playground time, crafts and sports every week! Lunch is provided by Share Vancouver and the USDA Summer Meals Program.

Hough Elementary Summer Playgrounds (1900 Daniels St.)

USDA Summer Meals Program
Free lunches will be provided to children on scheduled program days through Summer Playgrounds. For lunch times or questions, please contact Share at 360-553-8064.
Children (18 or under) who are members of food stamp households or TANF assistance units are automatically eligible to receive free meal benefits at eligible program sites. The Unites States Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits discrimination in all its programs and activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means for communication of program information should contact USDA’s TARGET Center at 202-720-2600.
Partner Camps – Ages Vary
We partner with local organizations to provide additional summer camp opportunities in Vancouver. Since these camps are operated by partners, they do not qualify for the resident fee discount and are not eligible for Everybody Plays scholarship funds. You will register directly through the partner hosting the camp.
Chess Wizards – Ages 5-12
Meets July 13-17 with full day and half day options.
Chess Wizards is a premier chess education company providing fun, informative and challenging chess lessons to students. Chess Wizards teaches important life concepts, like how to win graciously and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be divided into groups according to their chess experience. At the end of this session, each student will have had the chance to participate in a mini-chess tournament.

UK International Soccer at Marshall Park – Ages 4-14
Meets July 6-10 and Aug. 3-7 with full day and half day options.
UK International Soccer offers exciting development programs led by qualified international coaches. Under the guidance of our coaches, every player, from beginner to advanced, is provided with the best possible soccer experience in a fun, encouraging environment.

Skyhawks offers exciting, high-energy sports camps that include soccer, volleyball, golf, cheerleading, flag football, baseball, and basketball.

Jordan Kent’s Just Kids Skills Camp – Ages 6-12
Meets July 26-30 with full day and half day options.
Jordan Kent’s Just Kids Skills Camps offers beginning to intermediate fundamental training in football, soccer, and basketball. Campers participate in agility training, wacky games, daily life skills talks and nutrition education to develop a love for their sport in a positive and exciting setting.

Journey to STEAM LEGO Engineering, Coding and Robotics – Ages 6-12
Meets July 6-10 and July 20-24 with morning and afternoon options.
Journey to STEAM is empowering the next generation of innovators with hands-on LEGO engineering, coding, and robotics camps this summer. Half-day and full-day options spark curiosity and creativity, teaching future-ready skills through theme-based STEM adventures.

Police Athletic League (PAL) Basketball Camp – Ages 8-13
Meets July 8-10 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Coached by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and other local departments, this camp is a great way to learn the fundamentals of basketball.

Coding with Kids – Ages 5-12
Meets June 15-19 and July 20-24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Dive into the world of robotics and programming with Python while enjoying fun outdoor STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities! Let your child experience the joy of bringing a robot to life and coding in this full-day camp filled with discovery, creativity, and fun!

Our Summer Tennis Camps are the perfect way for kids to stay active, make friends, and have fun during the summer. Using age-appropriate equipment and grouping players by age and ability, our camps ensure everyone progresses at their own pace. Whether learning the game for the first time or refining techniques, participants enjoy a fun, supportive atmosphere that promotes healthy lifestyles, fosters social connections and inspires a lifelong love of tennis. Teen Tennis 101 and 201 | Ages 14-17
Whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, Teen Tennis offers a fun, supportive space to play, progress, and connect with others who love the game. All equipment is provided—just come ready to move and have fun! Our coaches lead players through engaging drills, match play, and team-based activities to build skills, confidence, and camaraderie. Parents can feel assured knowing this program is structured, skill-focused, and designed to support their teen’s growth both on and off the court. Held at Fisher Basin Community Park (SE 192nd Ave.)
Adult Red Ball | Ages 18+
Adult Red Ball is a fun, fast-paced social tennis experience designed for adults of all levels, whether you’re new to the game, returning after time away, or looking to stay active in a welcoming environment. Played on smaller courts with red balls, this 60-minute coach-facilitated session keeps you moving, rallying, rotating, and laughing while you connect with others from start to finish. No pressure, no equipment needed, simply show up, play, and enjoy! It’s tennis made easy, with a focus on fun, fitness, and community. Come rally with us and discover why tennis is the sport of a lifetime! Held at Fisher Basin Community Park (SE 192nd Ave.)

Classes and Clinics
Vancouver Children’s Chorus Classes
Songbirds– This entry level program is for children ages 5 – 7. It is a fun class for young musicians who are developing skills. We focus on learning singing and musicianship through various games, activities and songs. This class teaches the skills needed to advance to the Intermediate choir.
Treblemakers– In our intermediate choir, children ages 8-12 will have the opportunity to develop their vocal skills through fun and engaging music. This class focuses on building proper singing technique, expanding vocal range, and learning harmonies. Along the way, they’ll learn teamwork, rhythm, and musical expression while building lasting friendships through the joy of singing together.

Skyhawks Sports Clinics
Open to ages 4-14. Skyhawks offers exciting, high-energy sports clinics, and camps for ages 4 to 14. Choose from soccer, volleyball and basketball. Camps are available at Marshall Community Center, Marshall Park and Fisher Basin Park.
Soccer Shots Classic Program
Open to ages 3-5. Soccer Shots aims to build character, skills and confidence for young children while also having a whole lot of fun. They’re committed to providing safe, positive experiences through the game of soccer. It’s the reason parents trust Soccer Shots. Fall programs are at LeRoy Haagen Memorial Park.
Vancouver Youth Basketball
3×3 Developmental Clinics – Ages 10-12 and 13-15. This will be the second year we offer these classes at Marshall Community Center with Coach Brad. We will focus on offensive skill development in a 3×3 half court setting. Players will learn to work with teammates and apply new skills in a competitive and constructive environment. Participants will compete with different teammates throughout the clinic in a round robin style that matches them with other participants at their skill level. FIBA 3×3 is a New Olympic Sport!
Specialty Shooting Clinic – Ages 12-17. Take your shot to the next level with this specialty shooting clinic with Coach Brad. Designed for middle school and high school players, we will focus on the mechanics and fundamentals of your shot at game speed through shooting drills that also help with footwork and the art of how to get open. Each player will have their shooting form videotaped for review together, and we will track shooting progress through drills on a week-to-week basis during the clinic.
Inferno-Vancouver Cheer
Ages 5–14. Beginner-Advanced friendly! Come cheer for the PRCS Basketball league at Firstenburg Community Center where you will make long lasting memories, build confidence, and make new friends! Our certified coaches will meet each athlete where they are to build cheerleading skills.
