Homeschool Program

Vancouver Parks and Recreation offers engaging, age-appropriate, secular classes for students who are homeschooled or looking for additional enrichment opportunities during hybrid learning.

Classes are offered on Mondays and Thursdays for students ages 4-18 at Firstenburg Community Center. Taught by educators, experts and qualified parents, these elective-style classes are meant to supplement home instruction in multiple content areas and provide multi-age peer interaction. Most classes are one hour long and offered in 8 week sessions.

Things to Note Before Registering

  1. Registration is first come, first served.
  2. All homeschool learning styles are welcome; however, please note that some classes will require outside reading or assignments.

Financial Assistance

Scholarships that cover 50% of class tuition are available to eligible Clark County residents, based on family size and household income. If approved, the scholarship is applied to all children within the household who meet the age guidelines.
