Garbage & Recycling

Weather Update

Friday, Dec. 9, 2016: Friday garbage and recycling collections have been canceled due to conditions on many neighborhood streets. Instead, Waste Connections will be servicing Friday's residential customers on Saturday, Dec 10. Please set out your regular (Friday) garbage or recycling cart by 6:30 a.m. tomorrow for collections. Customers who were missed Thursday should plan to set out garbage or recycling for collection next Thursday. If you have weekly garbage service, you may set out twice the amount you are normally allowed.

Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016: Waste Connections trucks were able to service many Thursday garbage, recycling and yard debris customers before trucks had to return due to slick conditions and inclement winter weather. Those customers who were missed will get a call with information about their service. (Customers: You may want to check that they have your current phone number. Send an email to customerhelp@wasteconnections.com to let them know if it has changed.) More info from Waste Connections can be found here. Columbia Resource Company reports that West Van Recovery Station and Central Transfer Station are closing for the day due to inclement weather conditions.
