Teaching people of all ages how to wisely use this important, life-giving natural resource is what Vancouver's Water Resources Education Center is all about.

Reading in the “Wild” – Reading Series for Kids
Extended into September & October | Tuesdays, 10-11 a.m.

Join us for this free outdoor reading series for kids ages 3 to 6 years old. Come to the Water Resources Education Center each Tuesday in August, September and October for story time and outside adventures. We read, and you explore! 

September Second Saturday: Birds & Columbia Flyway
Saturday, Sept. 12 | 1 - 3 p.m.

This Second Saturday event is part of the annual Columbia Flyway Wildlife Show. Bring the kids to paint little wooden birds or enjoy the wood carving show.

Sturgeon Festival
Saturday, Sept. 19 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Join the annual Celebration of Columbia River Ecosystems. The festival will start off with a breathtaking Birds of Prey Show and wrap up with an amazing Live Reptile Show. Other highlights include the popular fish dissections and colorful Eartha the Ecological Clown. Join us for free, family fun!
