• Narrative addressing all applicant standards of VMC 20.740 Critical Areas (when not in shoreline jurisdiction) and all applicant chapters of the Vancouver Shoreline Master Program (SMP) including Chapter 5A Shoreline Critical Areas when within shoreline jurisdiction
• When required by the Vancouver SMP Chapter 5A (when in shorelines) or VMC 20.740 (when outside shorelines), a critical areas report as required by VMC Chapter 20.740.050 – Submittal Requirements or SMP Chapter 5A Section 20.740.050 Submittal Requirements

A statement of exemption from a shoreline permit and/or approval of a critical areas exemption does not exempt the project from compliance just from the need to obtain a shoreline permit or a critical areas permit. The applicant must address all applicable standards, and the level of information needed will depend on the specific proposal and scope of work. Staff is willing to discuss these requirements to ensure the standards are complied with without the applicant having to provide more information than necessary to approval an exemption request.
