Get There Vancouver

What’s happening?
Get There Vancouver is a recommendation of the City of Vancouver 2024-2044 Transportation System Plan (TSP). The purpose of the program is to provide people who recently moved with resources and incentives to encourage them to travel by bicycling, walking, carpooling, riding a scooter, vanpooling and taking transit. By receiving and using resources and incentives, people can increase their knowledge, confidence, and use of travel options for everyday trips. Specifically, people who try a new mode of transportation will build familiarity and confidence using it.
Vancouver’s Residential Travel Options Program
Get There Vancouver is a residential travel options program for people who recently moved to or within Vancouver. The program offers them free resources and incentives to try new modes of transportation. When a person moves to or within the City of Vancouver, they will receive a mailer to their new home asking them to sign up for Get There Vancouver.
When someone signs up for the program, they can choose a transportation kit. Transportation kit options include a Hop card loaded with five C-TRAN Regional Day Passes, a $25 gift card to Bike Clark County, a $25 Lyft Pass, or a pedestrian safety kit with a reflective vest, light and shoelaces. Transportation kits also include a welcome letter and travel resources.
To sign up for the program and receive their transportation kit, participants fill out a survey asking how they currently travel and optional demographic questions. After signing up, participants will receive monthly newsletters with travel tips, information about community events, and additional promotional campaigns.
After participating in the program, participants will be asked to complete a follow-up survey about their current travel behaviors and provide feedback on the program.
